In magic, mugwort is an essential witch’s herb. It is a herb of intuition, dreams, and prophecy, connected to the moon, Artemis, and Spirit. It has long been used to enhance clarity and lucidity of dreams, and can be used to aid inner journeying (Shamanic journeys, trance work). It enhances our psychic and intuitive abilities in general. In Ayurveda, mugwort is used for general unwellness and malaise, and cardiac troubles. 

To enhance your dreams:  -drink mugwort tea before bed -add mugwort to a dream pillow -burn mugwort as incense  -take mugwort flower remedy (see info below) 

For psychic enhancement:  -drink mugwort tea  -burn mugwort as incense before or during divinatory practices  -carry mugwort with you in a charm/herbal pouch  -cleanse divinatory tools with mugwort: rub the plant over the tools, wash them with a mugwort infusion, or smudge them with mugwort 

For protection:  -crush mugwort into your shoes or carry in a pouch  -hang the dried plant over your door 

Always be careful when using mugwort. As well as containing thujone and being extremely dangerous for pregnant women, and it can also induce powerful visions and dreams, and open us up to psychic sensitivity that we may not be prepared to deal with.
